Self Love Requires Honesty | #SLS

I've come to realize, the hard way, that I've had and still have a lot of healing to do! Self Love is not an overnight thing *insert Percy Sledge song*. It takes time to reach a comfortable level of contentment with self. It's a journey; one of upward toil but one of positive growth. In our journey of Self Love, it is integral that we seek to know ourselves, accept who we are and live freely in our truth.  In seeking to know and embrace our truest selves, a process of self reflection and introspection helps. The trauma; experiences that we go through have fashioned us into the persons that we are today. Our personalities, our self esteem; the way we interact with others, our imposed standards, our expectations are all influenced by the way we see ourselves; by the way we think and feel about ourselves. It's 'human nature' to first be negative before positive and unappreciative before we see good, so in order to change our thinki...

Cupcake.D.Lab: ❤ Garlic Infused EVOO Acne Treatment ❤

Hey Loves!! I've been doing quite a bit of reading about garlic since I've heard that it can be used to help heal acne.

Garlic has anti-bacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antioxidant properties which makes it great for healing acne. Garlic can heal bacterial related acne. If an overproduction of oils has caused your acne and blemishes, garlic will work great!

Garlic can be eaten to fight acne from the inside out. A clove a day can help your overall health.

I've tested and tried a topical acne treatment that can really help your acne to dry up and disappear!!

You'll Need:

INGREDIENTS

6 Cloves of Garlic, Finely Grated
8 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)

EQUIPMENT

Hand Grater
Small (Ceramic) Plates
Tablespoons
Small Glass Jar
Flat Face/Art Brush (Very Dense)
Face Cloth

METHOD

Clean, wash and grate 6 cloves of garlic. You can do so on a plate. Ensure that each clove is blemish free. I added an extra clove after removing the blemishes from the 6 cloves.

❤ Add the grated garlic to the small glass jar. ❤

❤ Add the 8 tablespoons of EVOO ❤

❤ This quantity can last for 10-14 days, or even longer when refrigerated and can be used many times. I recommend using the treatment every other day at night time.

❤ When needed, I remove about a teaspoon of the treatment from the jar place it on a small ceramic saucer and microwave it for 30 seconds.

❤ You can either use your clean finger tips to massage the oil onto your freshly cleansed face or you can use a brush to gently work the Garlic Oil Infusion into the skin.

❤ Let the treatment sit for about 10-15 minutes.

❤ Remove with a hot water face cloth.

❤ Continue with an acne fighting toner and moisturizer or continue your spa day with other skin loving treatments.

❤ The use of EVOO to dilute the intensity of the garlic was chosen because garlic can be preserved in oil and the skin would not be damaged by the treatment. Olive oil is also known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial and  moisturizing benefits.

Precautions

  • Rubbing undiluted garlic on your face can be extremely dangerous and may cause, redness, irritation and even burns/blisters. Garlic must be diluted to be used safely and effectively.
  • Do not ever allow for the garlic to enter your eyes. It will burn.
  • The treatment can be left on the skin for no longer than 15 minutes.

I enjoy using the Garlic Infused EVOO Acne Treatment as it has dried up some of my blemishes... I actually have some stored in my refrigerator right now!

Thank you for Reading, Please comment and tell me how it worked for you! :)
