I've come to realize, the hard way, that I've had and still have a lot of healing to do! Self Love is not an overnight thing *insert Percy Sledge song*. It takes time to reach a comfortable level of contentment with self. It's a journey; one of upward toil but one of positive growth. In our journey of Self Love, it is integral that we seek to know ourselves, accept who we are and live freely in our truth.  In seeking to know and embrace our truest selves, a process of self reflection and introspection helps. The trauma; experiences that we go through have fashioned us into the persons that we are today. Our personalities, our self esteem; the way we interact with others, our imposed standards, our expectations are all influenced by the way we see ourselves; by the way we think and feel about ourselves. Hair Products Haul!!!

You guys know that I love taking care of my hair and that I always try to get good products that will help it to maintain its health. I love shopping for hair products (especially when I've saved up to do so) but I never shared a Haul with you before... so here it goes. :)

I went to Bella Cosmetics and Personal Care located on Wilson Road (to the left of Royal Castle), Scarborough Tobago. It's a relatively new place and their prices are a little on the high side but they have almost everything I wanted... and I just love the set up of everything in the store. They even have a section specially for Natural Hair Care with products from Miss Jessie's, Mixed Chicks, Shea Moisture (Yasss!!), Nene's Secret, As I Am and lots more. I was quite in my glee! I spent too long in there! But I managed to leave with some hair goodies that I've been dying to try.

My hair is currently cut in a short style which makes it very versatile as far as wear is concerned and it gives me no stress! I've been going to the beach regularly and of course I went my hair! So my hair has been needing some more love. My hair loves moisture, so I needed products that would help to give it that moisture it needs, strengthen it, seal the ends and style it.

This is the first time that I've purchased this product. I'll be using it to deep condition my hair once a week, both with and without heat. I love the smell. It resembles the Moisture Butter but it a bit more citrusy.

This is the first time that I've purchased this product. I once saw Nene's Secret products being hauled in a video of one of my favourite YouTubers (Coloured Beautiful) and I thought it sounded quite interesting. It's great that Nene also has her "Story" on the box. I'll be using it as a leave in conditioner after washing my hair, right before applying a sealant and styling. I wash my hair once a week. I love the smell of the L.I.C. It reminds me of the Flavorite Supreme Lollies, the juice ones. It's really sweet.

 This is the first time that I've purchased this product. I've always heard great reviews about the Jamaican Black Castor Oil (JBCO). Many said that it helped to grow their hair. I'm using it as a sealant for the ends of my hair (after moisturizing) and I'll also use it to massage my scalp. I'll certainly be observing my hair to see differences in health and length. You'll definitely get my review of it in months to come.

The bottle only states directions of use (massage small amount into scalp) and that it can be great as a Pre-Shampoo Hot Oil Treatment. It also states that it "Repairs and replenishes dry skin and other skin conditions. Muscle aches and arthritic pains."

My Current Face Moisturizers: Pond's Clarant B3 (February 2013)

Pond's Clarant B3: Normal To Oily Skin For many years I have sworn by this face product. I have been using it to moisturize my face during both the day and the night.  It does exactly what it promises. The packaging states that it is a "Dark Spot Correcting Moisturizer". It has indeed, cleared up any marks that was left by untimely blackheads.  It also states that it "Evens Skin Tone in 2 Weeks and "Reduces the appearance of Dark Spots In 4 Weeks". These statements are also true for me. Some people may be worried that skin bleaching/whitening may occur, this is not likely at all. It is Dermatologist Tested, Hypoallergenic and it Won't Clog Pores.  I would recommend that you try a small bottle to determine how much you like it (if it works for you).
