Self Love Requires Honesty | #SLS

I've come to realize, the hard way, that I've had and still have a lot of healing to do! Self Love is not an overnight thing *insert Percy Sledge song*. It takes time to reach a comfortable level of contentment with self. It's a journey; one of upward toil but one of positive growth. In our journey of Self Love, it is integral that we seek to know ourselves, accept who we are and live freely in our truth.  In seeking to know and embrace our truest selves, a process of self reflection and introspection helps. The trauma; experiences that we go through have fashioned us into the persons that we are today. Our personalities, our self esteem; the way we interact with others, our imposed standards, our expectations are all influenced by the way we see ourselves; by the way we think and feel about ourselves. It's 'human nature' to first be negative before positive and unappreciative before we see good, so in order to change our thinki...

❤ Sweet Lime Facial ❤

You'll Need:

INGREDIENTS

2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
3.5 Tablespoons Lime Juice (The juice of 3 small limes)
1 Pinch of Sea Salt

EQUIPMENT

A small bowl
Tablespoons
Flat Face/Art Brush

METHOD

1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, using spoons to add ingredients and all so to mix.
2. Apply to face with a brush that would help it to lay flat and stay to face. The pores of the skin must be opened prior to application of the facial using either a facial steamer or a hot water wash cloth. The opened pores helps the facial to be better absorbed by the skin.
3. The brush can be used to gently massage the face, neck and chest, after the facial is applied. Massage in circular motions for 2 minutes. Again, be gentle, the lime can definitely give a tingly feel to the skin since it is acidic.
4. Let the facial sit on your face for 10 minutes after the massage.
5. Use Baby Wipes to easily remove the facial. You can wash face with a gentle cleanser, or go right ahead to your next facial/mask treatment.

I use this facial along with other treatments on my Home Spa Day.
This facial should be done once a week.

Benefits of the Sweet Lime Facial:

Exfoliates the skin; Removes dead skin,
Brightens the skin,
Tightens Pores,
Moisturizes the skin,
Kills Bacteria,
Prevents Blackheads.

I usually just jump right into the shower after this facial but if you're in no hurry to be drenched in water, you can use wipes to take off the majority of the facial. Wash face with your favourite cleanser, tone then moisturize and Voila! You're done!!..... Or, you can just rinse you face well and continue with your other Home Spa Treats. :)

Thanks again for reading!! I really hope you enjoy trying this facial.
