Self Love Requires Honesty | #SLS

I've come to realize, the hard way, that I've had and still have a lot of healing to do! Self Love is not an overnight thing *insert Percy Sledge song*. It takes time to reach a comfortable level of contentment with self. It's a journey; one of upward toil but one of positive growth. In our journey of Self Love, it is integral that we seek to know ourselves, accept who we are and live freely in our truth.  In seeking to know and embrace our truest selves, a process of self reflection and introspection helps. The trauma; experiences that we go through have fashioned us into the persons that we are today. Our personalities, our self esteem; the way we interact with others, our imposed standards, our expectations are all influenced by the way we see ourselves; by the way we think and feel about ourselves. It's 'human nature' to first be negative before positive and unappreciative before we see good, so in order to change our thinki...

Tiff's Chai Tea | ☕ Tea Time With Tiff ☕

If you're a tea person, then I'm sure you probably had Chai Tea before right? I've actually tasted Twinning's Indian Chai Tea! I loved it, looked at the label and then decided to make my very own... Chai, Tiff-Style!

I didn't have all the ingredients listed on the label but I actually had all these great items on hand, so I twisted and tweaked, working with what I had and finishing with a tea that's tasty and actually great for you!

What the Good Stuff's Made of:

Cinnamon Powder
Raw Ginger
Grated Nutmeg
Vanilla Essence
Whole Clove
... and of course, water!

I use my eyes to measure... you can too!
Just remember, the more of anything you put, the more it overpowers the taste of the finished product. With that being said, I only put a couple drops of the essence because the one I use is strong; however, I love ginger and cinnamon powder, so I was generous with those.

Throw everything into the pot, about two cups of water, and bring to a rumbling boil.

I then let it boil for about 3 minutes then I strain the goodness into a tea mug, sweeten with 1 tbsp of brown sugar and it's good to go!

Wait till sipping temperature and enjoy!

Don't waste what's left of the good stuff, including what's in your strainer!
This tea can be stretched for two days or more!
I just wait till it's cooled, then I store it in the refrigerator until my next tea time!
It even seems to be much more strong, potent, because the ingredients had more time to soak.

I really do hope you try Tiff's Chai, and if you do, let me know!

This #TTWTiff (Tea Time With Tiff) Tea Recipe is the featured tea of the Second Episode of my New YouTube Vlog Series!
Hope You Enjoy it while sipping on your tea!
