I've come to realize, the hard way, that I've had and still have a lot of healing to do! Self Love is not an overnight thing *insert Percy Sledge song*. It takes time to reach a comfortable level of contentment with self. It's a journey; one of upward toil but one of positive growth. In our journey of Self Love, it is integral that we seek to know ourselves, accept who we are and live freely in our truth. In seeking to know and embrace our truest selves, a process of self reflection and introspection helps. The trauma; experiences that we go through have fashioned us into the persons that we are today. Our personalities, our self esteem; the way we interact with others, our imposed standards, our expectations are all influenced by the way we see ourselves; by the way we think and feel about ourselves. It's 'human nature' to first be negative before positive and unappreciative before we see good, so in order to change our thinki...

🌴 Island Girl Adventures | Market Deh' Vlog
Market Deh' (Pronounced "Day") is an initiative made possible in part by Bruce Knaggs, a young enthusiastic agriculturalist on the Island of Tobago. It was born out of the desire Knaggs had to create a platform for selling his local produce and providing the opportunity for other local businesses to do so; hence Market Deh's Motto, "Make, Grow, Tobago."
According to The Market Deh' promotion, it is "a great social event where you can sample and buy some of Tobago's best creations." All Are Invited to "come... eat, drink and take in the good vibes."
The island of Tobago is truly vibrant with creative souls who believe that locals and visitors alike can benefit from homegrown, natural, healthy and authentic products. There are many persons who are passionate about preserving the Islands culture by utilizing its natural resources in sustainable ways; helping to create income and promote healthful living.
Many often over look the small business person and head straight to big-chain-supermarkets and malls for their purchases. Thus, missing out on the gems that Tobago's small businesses have to offer! Tobago is really vibin' with entrepreneurial activity!
I visited Market Deh' on 26th of February and had the opportunity to speak to the organizer along with four vendors who were most kind and welcoming!
I invite you to take a look at my Vlog Video of the day and the conversations I had with the vendors. Do enjoy!
Market Deh' is scheduled to take place the last Sunday of each month at The Shade Night Club, Bon Accord; 10 AM to 3 PM.
It is my wish that Market Deh' grows into an event that attracts and targets more artistic, creative and passionate vendors and buyers.
I was able to meet people and purchase great quality products that I wouldn't have even known existed if it weren't for my curious visit.
I'll surely return and see what and who else Market Deh' has in store for my creative soul!
I really do hope that this blog post helped encourage you to #SupportLocal and to see that there are many ways that you can do so.
Below are the contacts of all who I touched base with at Market Deh' as seen in the video. I invite you to use them to your delight!
Since I have naturally kinky-curly hair, I decided to try two products from the Worlds of Curls brand to see how they'll work for me. I purchased both the Curl Activator and the Curly Pudding. These type of products are known to either define curls or stretch them out but after reading many product reviews, I've come to realize that the outcomes are different from person to person given the different hair types, techniques of use and styling. Let's Start with the Curl Activator! Worlds of Curls Curl Activator This products claims to be 3 steps in one; Curl Activator, Conditioner and Oil Sheen. It advertises that it's for extra dry hair. I've had this product for more than a year. I purchased a 32oz container, deciding that I'd try all the possible ways to use this product. On the back of the container, it says: Worlds of Curls Curl Activator (for extra dry hair) is another key step in Our Total Hair Care Maintenance System. Worlds of Curls Acti...

The health of our skin can depend upon many factors; what we eat and drink (also any possible allergies), the weather, our emotional conditions, what we wear, and also, what we apply to our skin. It is integral that our skin receives routine love and affection to maintain it's health. Everyone dreams of having beautiful, healthy, radiant skin that will accompany a high self-esteem and happiness. Apart from eating healthy and keeping our emotions (anxiety and stress can affect the skin) in check, we must find products for our skin that will keep it happy and healthy. Cleansing and moisturizing are excellent steps in a skin regimen, but you'll find that including a Toner to your regimen is essential, as you read on about how toners help your skin. First of all, the term "toner" is often loosely used. I've had people ask me if toners bleach the skin. This is a common misconception of the use of toners, and as such, many people shy ...
